This fic is entirely narrated by Near, and is the best characterization of Near I have ever read. You could seriously imagining his thoughts flowing the way it does, which is no simple task to pull off. Amazingly done, this fic will blow you away, the way it adheres so flawlessly to Death Note canon and fits this unusual pairing so wonderfully into it. And this is why I have such a soft spot for Mello/Sayu now.
