Lavanya Six's review

Charting the post-series recovery of Azula, 'Baak' has less to do with any notion of personal redemption than Azula trying to overcome her own flaws and shortcomings as a human being in order to achieve inner balance. This doesn't mean she becomes a nice person — far from it. She's arrogant, self-confident, and thoroughly aristocratic in attitude to those that she perceives as social inferiors. While this might sound off-putting to a potential reader, it's actually very entrapping. Azula's narrative voice is strong and that personality draws you into the story.
