Scientifically inaccurate.

This movie does not take on that pandemic very well. That "COVID-23" thing will never exist. In that time, the pandemic will no longer be a risk in real life. It will be controlled then through improved health system, and upgraded vaccinations. Dr. Fauci once said, "The vaccinations and health protocols are the key to returning to normality.". This movie despises normality, and with a dumb reason.

the movie is fictional. while the "covid-23" designation is corny and dates the film, the scientific accuracy of the script has little bearing on its quality. songbird isn't a documentary about covid, it's a drama about surviving a global pandemic. you can have an effective, compelling drama even if the underlying premise is scientifically shaky. eschewing accuracy for the sake of storytelling is just Artistic License.

could you elaborate on your point about how the movie despises normality, what normality is, why that's a bad thing, and why the reason it gives for doing so is dumb?
