A wonderfully {sweet} show

I began watching the GBBO in college. The kindness and the congeniality of the participants is really what sets this series apart. They all care for each other and therefore this show is not about sabotage but *actual* baking skills.

The structure of this show is also another one of the wonderful things about it. They are allowed to practice for both the first and last round. In real life, baking doesn't happen magically and their ability to craft and practice recipes makes a lot of sense. The middle round, known as the technical challenge, is a surprise. The bakers are tested on their general baking skill by having to bake something new without a full recipe.

The show tends towards actual baking as opposed to gimmicky challenges that look cool.

5/5 would recommend.
