This fic manages to balance the tone between Kingdom Hearts and Silent Hill. Its villain is creepy and not at all excuse, his obsession with friendship shows just how awful everyone, and I mean everyone, would do just to keep someone safe. It's a tragedy and it's basically what happens when some place as dark and twisted as Silent Hill touches a place so optimistic and kind like Kingdom Hearts.
Be warned that it's a tragedy and the author doesn't hold back from basically crushing everyone and deconstructing what it means to have bonds deeper than friendship, bonds that people refused to let break.
