Epic parody.

Imagine an adult Harry Potter looking back on the events of the books from his perspective as someone with experience in the Muggle and Wizarding worlds.

Then he gets sent back in time.

Predictably, he decides that this time around he's going to have as much fun as possible, exploit the utterly broken nature of Wizarding society as much as possible, and try to keep that damned death toll down, while compensating for the stress of being a 26-year-old man in an 11-year-old's body by trolling the living hell out of everybody.

I love the portrayal of Draco Malfoy—he's still an asshole, but the author goes out of their way to point out that neither he nor most of his House are one-dimensional villains. Snape is great, too, though I kind of feel sorry for him with both Harry and Sirius pranking him.

The exploitation of the wall-bangingly corrupt Ministry is absolutely brilliant, and I love how Harry thinks like a professional adult and worries about income to compensate for his admittedly vast expenses. It really feels like a bored, stressed adult given the opportunity to act with very few consequences and just going wild.

Plus the whole Chamber of Secrets bit was scream-inducingly hilarious.

Year 4 starts off a little weak, with the whole "Harry Potter School of Awesomeness" thing stretching credulity a bit, but the lead-up, the hilarious ways of dealing with the tasks, and the final battle are all excellent. You kind of have to feel for poor Cedric Diggory and his conditioned fear of graveyards, though.

tl;dr: One of the best semi-serious/semi-parodic fics I've ever read. 9/10. Will be reading again. Many, many times.
