Hulk vs...Is this the best Marvel Animation can offer?

Hulk vs. Wolverine.

The only interest here is the fight. A three minute battle showing the differences between the two battle wise that has a quick, smooth flow and enough variety to keep interest. Each gets their licks in before an abrupt ending. The rest tends to be fairly boring as the Hulk casually destroys Weapon X's members. A few memorable lines from Deadpool and other moments scattered throughout. Worth a rental, but not ownership for anyone besides a Hulk or Wolverine fan. Yost and Kyle have a strong affinity for Wolverine and it shows, but this is too short to have anything really come of it, but did we really need Wolverine's origin told again?

Hulk vs. Thor

Attempted to have a more complex storyline and character driven, but fails miserable. It's to short to fully develop or delve into the back stories of any of the characters or story plots. For the introduction to Thor it is lacking. Cameos of characters are thrown in with no reference to who they are, importance, or anything beyond the superficial facts of relationships. The story suffers from several severe deviations from the comics including Thor tired of battle and being afraid of the Hulk.

The fight itself is a severe disappointment. Instead of an epic clash it is a one-sided beat down. Thor and Hulk come off as clunky and sluggish. Thor barely fights back instead either laying there as a punching bag or running into the Hulk's fist. For a six-minute fight it is extremely boring. The rest is Hulk casually tearing through whatever Asgardians is thrown against him. Never once is he seriously challenged or in danger. An excuse is made for this being a stronger Hulk, but it does not excuse Thor's poor performance of barely fighting back at all. I actually fast forwarded past parts of it.

A quest angle about Banner is thrown it to try and fill up the pitiful story. By the end you can tell they are just going through the motions with an anti-climatic ending.

Yost and Kyle do not have an affinity for the character which is shown in the commentary. Joking throughout and snarky remarks, they state outright they made this so Banner is praised as hero to show Thor how to be a real hero. They made Banner the hero of the piece instead of Thor.

Animation inconsistent with being good or bad.

Worth it for Hulk fans, but lacking for everyone else.
