Definitely. The writing is snarky, as befits a properly scary story. Alternate Character Interpretation abounds - John really shines in here, despite being even angrier than the original. The discussions between the protagonists on the subject of morality are well done - subtle, and I found the mirror idea very logical (in the "why didn't I think of this?" vein). Heartwarming ending. Lovely, heartwarming ending.
Bottom line - could be better, but then, everything could be better. Worth giving a try, if you like your fanfiction a little gritty.
