Simple to follow

I've been subscribed to cooking with dog for a long while now, and the reason is simple: Chef is easy to follow.

The quirkiness of Cooking with Dog, by having Frances, is just the right level, but the mass appeal that seems to go with this cooking show is that Chef makes a variety of dishes, and makes it easy to follow. Every step is shown and explained in simple demonstration, no need to ask 'what is this or that'.

Also, the dishes chef has done over the years range widely, but are largely popular dishes, that most people outside of japan would like to learn how to cook. Ever want to know how to make those sausage octopuses? Watch the bento episode. What makes Japanese curry Japanese curry? Watch the episode.

Lastly, its pretty easy to see the charisma oozing out of both Frances (he is a very cute dog), and Chef. Her cheerful, somewhat upbeat but still shy attitude combined with her skilled cooking makes you wish she were your mother/wife/sister because it is simply comfortable.

Just an enjoyable show all together, from which this troper has already made several recipes.
