Great potential, but deserves more attention

Everybody Edits is a game that allows players to create levels and share them with others. When I found it, I really liked the idea and had dreamed of doing so previously. However, this is not exactly what I imagined. I imagined a game where people could work together. While I very much support doing so and try to help others achieve this goal, not many others agree to do so. It makes it hard. Nowadays, levels in the lobby will typically be of low quality, while higher-quality levels will either be drowned by the others, or have a bot in it.

Now, I am not saying there are no good levels out there—there are still some gems that you can find. But, due to the lack of encouragement from the fandom, this becomes difficult. The fandom is infamous for arguing and fighting to the point where they barely have any time to make levels during all of it. The fandom does not seem to be appreciative of the moderation, which I partly agree on, which I will start talking about in a moment.

The moderation is not too good. They have lots of delays and vacations that make it hard to be excited for new updates. While other things can keep me busy in the meantime, I would appreciate if the moderation were better. I could see many things being improved, to the point where it sometimes feels like They Just Didn't Care. I expect and would like better from them, as the game gets kind of boring with nothing new to see and mess around with. It just does not feel that exciting without it.

The game mechanics themselves are pretty good, though most of the good ones are those that came from Before 2012. There is a variety of block choices, though I would like to see more, especially doors and gates. These things could have lots of potential. Unfortunately, the staff seems to be mostly absent and rely on the community. Considering the state of it, it is hard for me to see how this is still alive. Despite all the negative stuff I have said, I still believe in this game and wish for a great future from it.

Overall, I think this game is as good as its community is. Every level comes from it, and without it, there is nothing. Because of that, the game is not too good, but could be much better. I guess Reality Ensues when I finally get my dream game and players in it constantly complain about not being able to work with what they have. If you have spare time, I recommend checking it out.
