This was my first Transformers series I watched. Honestly, I was so young at the time I watched it, I didn't care how cheesy it got, let alone noticed how bungled the English dub was. I loved the toys and bought a good portion of them for fun. This series is loaded with Narm Charm, which is why I return to watch it every now and then. But I have to admit, there are many things that could have been done better. I'll save you the trouble of hearing the laundry list of complaints. Transformers Wiki has me covered.
I'd rate this series 6 out of 10, average. It suffers from a need of some more versatile writers. And Optimus Prime being a freaking Power Rangers mecha ripoff.
