I agree somewhat (haven't played the game yet), but I think you're going a little too far with the "hate" women in the title. Sexism is not always misogyny.
Title is more a shout out to [The Millennium Trilogy the girl with the dragon tattoo] than a full accusation. Aidan's love interest is nearly an {Expy} of the protagonist from that series. For real though, the hitman who killed Aidan's niece also has a dead wife in his backstory and the Big Bad has an underground auction where women are literally sold as objects. The sister is traumatized after accidentally killing a man. Women being hurt are large part of what drives the games story, but is just background for the story to move ahead from.
Speaking of! Ubisoft put up a no-girls-allowed sign on assassins creed unity. Misogyny? Or are next gen boobs too hard to code?

In all seriousness, I wonder how this game and the AC: Unity thing (and, to lesser extent, the FC 3's endings) tie in with Ubisoft releasing female-led Child of Light, as well as the 2012's AC: Liberation. Given that Watch_Dogs has been in development since 2009, were those games a pre-emptive attempt to smooth things over for WD than changing its story outright? We'll probably never know.
As an aside, it's awesome to find another Millenium Trilogy fan! It's a pity Larsson died so soon, denying us of future works.

Kratos was initially motivated by his dead wife and child. Though that only drove him to kill Ares to save Athens, which wasn't heinous.
My problem is that the auction was intentionally horrible. Although I feel you\'re seeing sexism where some isn\'t, I do agree that it could have done with a lot less female victims, but that\'s an issue with the gaming genre in general. Story is weak, but a lot of people ignore that women don\'t necessarily have to be an Action Girl. Great job, though, it\'s a very good review. Also, it\'s not sexism really in play there, it\'s just idiot writing, by writers who apparently don\'t think that a lack of damsels in distress/dead will emphasize how evil the villains are. Also, Clara isn\'t the love interest, she only gets teased with Aiden a couple times.

^^ You do realize that sexism doesn\'t have to be intentional, right? In fact, the vast majority of sexist, racist, and other prejudiced behaviors are totally subconscious, which is exactly what makes them so insidious. Just because the writers didn\'t set out to purposefully create a game that treats women as inferior to men doesn\'t change that a game that disempowers women by reducing them to plot motivations for male characters is sexist, nor does the fact that it\'s a rampant problem in the medium. \"It\'s not sexist because the whole medium is sexist\" doesn\'t really follow, y\'know?

Women and The Videogames Who Hate Them

Christ, this story was a letdown. Despite the hacking plotpoints, the conspiracy plot, the paranoia plot and the gang related plot, it's all just a ruse to cover that old classic "Women are dead, and men are upset about it" plot. Your love interest and only useful female with a plot important backstory, is killed abruptly in a cutscene.
She is killed because you rescued your kidnapped sister. Your sister was kidnapped because your niece was killed. Your niece was killed because Rose Washington was killed. Rose Washington was killed because...[blank space].
Rose is most frustrating, because the mere inkling Aidan found out about her is what caused hitmen to try to kill him. When you first hear her name it sounds like she was involved in some some major conspiracy...no, the only important thing about her is the man who killed her.
Aidan Pearce is a trenchcoat and phone on a mission for revenge of dead niece, and then rescuing his living sister, then revenge again but for dead love interest this time. That's as complex as he gets, while never speaking above a growl-whisper regardless of circumstance. There are also no cutscenes or dialog about how Aidan an his niece got along before she died. Sister has no background, no portrayal on her feeling on her own daughter's death, and a son that just gives her something male to talk about besides Aidan.
When you confront the Big Bad and his big reveal is that a woman died, you screwed up the story somewhere.
The big hacking gameplay watch_dogs boasts is only interesting at first. Becoming repetitive after a while and even unnecessary sometimes when you can just shoot people quicker. Car chases can go exciting to annoying as they drag on because you can't shoot without exiting the car. And that fucking hacking mini-game over and over. Interest only returned when you must guide someone through cameras to safety a few times.
