Mission Marvel

When I first heard of the crossover I thought this was going to be great special. Unfortunately the execution did not pay off.

First off, the character designs mirror the MU shows so much that it make them look rather ugly (not that I like the MU show designs in the first place). Why would the show pick just Thor, Spiderman, Hulk and Ironman with the villains being Redskull, Whiplash, Venom and MODOK? Its also puzzling when no other heroes or villains are shown in the story also when Phineas makes it sound like the end of the world when no one else is doing anything to stop said villains. It gives the special a lousy sense of suspense when the show acts like they're the only four heroes in the world. It would've been less confusing if it was a Refugee From TV Land plot. It was annoying not to have Bruce Banner appear since Hulk lost his powers (Is having Hulk non-powered a taboo in Marvel animation now?)

Which brings me to my next point. Phineas is a dick. He yells at Candace for petty reasons when she really is only trying to help. And when he yells at her, no one else tells him to calm down. Not even THE MARVEL HEROES (who are referred as "Heroes" every little while like we forgot who to root for). Its very jarring to see him bitch out his sister like this. Frankly I found her more admirable than him.

Also the animation is pretty meh, per usual for these Marvel cartoons. It goes to fast and its too chaotic and not smooth at all. Two things made me laugh (The clown car being destroyed and something I don't wanna spoil at the end) and other than that it wasn't that funny either. 2/5.

I agree; I thought Phineas' anger was forced, like they were trying to copy the success of "Get on the trike!"
