According to the character page for the first film and various other sources, Nala's name was taken from the Swahili word for "gift", a lot of them citing now-defunct links to Disney's official sites as their sources. If this isn't the case, would that fall under Critical Research Failure (assuming it's true)?

According to Google Translate, "gift" is "zawadi" in Swahili, which does not even remotely resemble "nala".
