It's mentioned in the main episode. In any case the political stuff is not specific. All they said that it was developed during the 2016 election and that climate came in, but there's no hint that there's anything specific nor can you tell if there's real allegory.
In response to a recent edit: I feel the political nature of the episode is worth mentioning. Is there some better way to do it then to say "What Do You Mean It's Not Political: Averted"? If not, then that sounds like the way to do it.
