I'd say that's a fair assessment, granted Shane does have plenty of haters but I don't think it would work here for this series.
So go ahead and do it.

I read here that Shane Dawson was listed under "The Scrappy"... After one video ? I fail to see how he fall under this category, especially considering his rather huge fanbase and some rather positive comments about him we can read under the video. Sure, we're in the YMMV section, but I find it rather premature to classify him as The Scrappy. I went back nearly 3 weeks of comments and browse them about Shane (ctrl+F Shane), and there's actually one You Tuber who is rather vocal about Shane (Twirree). Of course, I have no way to know what was the contents of some deleted comments.
Until further evidence that the fans reactions about Shane are mostly bad, I think that his example under The Scrappy should be removed. Though, since it's YMMV material, I think it's a better course of action to ask your opinions, as Tropers, first, before removing it.
