Even if fans forgive/accept the Cut ShortDowner Ending due to being caused by circumstances outside their control, it still seems to have reduced the popularity of what was the most prominent/influential fanwork of its time to just another work with little bearing on fandom nowadays. (Or is that more due to the lore actually/surprisingly advancing to the point it's Outdated by Canon diminishing its relevance?)
