I agree that it isn't an example of Tier Induced Scrappy, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's People Sit on Chairs. I think these examples fit quite nicely into the Dump Stat trope.

Before I add this to the tear jerker section I want to ask other tropers about this. Did anyone else feel sorry for King Clavius when he found out about Prince Charmles buying an argon heart?
Nicoaln added a Tier Induced Scrappy page about builds / skills that are seen as underpowered.
This is shoehorning. A Tier Induced Scrappy is a character, not a build or a skill. There being a sub-optimal way of building a character in a game that gives you a choice about how to do so is People Sit On Chairs.
No character in DQ 8 is a scrappy for being low- or high-tier. (Yangus is widely considered the weakest character in the endgame— at least on the PS 2 version, not sure whether he got buffed in the 3DS remake— but he's not hated as a character because of it, he's still very popular.)
