So, as of 2016 is there still no consensus as to whether or not Shiro had a split personality? It seems fairly obvious that she did, but there are still several tropes insisting that she didn't. It seems like there are many parts of the manga, and stuff relating to Shiro herself, that wouldn't really make sense if she never had a split personality.

Okay, whoever keeps saying that the character Shiro dies, please stop. As of chapter 47, that character is still alive. As heart wrenching as it might be for her to die after confessing her love for the main character, that's not what happens.
