Is the entry for Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy valid for the anime adaptation? I haven't read the manga, so I can't comment on it, but I thought that DIAA only applies when when both sides involved in the main conflict are equally unlikeable or when the heroes' efforts ultimately amount to nothing and the universe still sucks. If the story features clearly defined heroes and villains (even though the show is about morally grey assassins) and the ending delivers a positive outcome, then it doesn't qualify. If people are complaining about the overall darkness in the show, then Angst Aversion might be the better fit. So, what do you think?
