The Volleyball club and the Student Council have very mismatched tanks.
The 38(t) have pretty weak armor but due to it's lightweight it is very nimble and fast, clocking in at 42km/h on the road. While using the Panzergranate 40 armor-piercing composite rigid (APCR)it's 37mm Antitank gun can penetrate up to 62mm of armor when fired from 100m. This makes the 38(t) very effective if it is used to flank the enemy and attacking from point blank range.
The Type 89 on the other hand has a top speed of 26km/h and it's 57mm Type 90 Tank Gun had a meager muzzle velocity of 1,150 f/s, half of the 38(t)'s gun which means the Type 89 cannot pierce armor over 20mm thick, which is pitiful since the majority of WW 2 tanks have more than 20mm armor in the REAR.
Volleyball team is able to consistently blindside the enemy in every single battle but due to the weak Type 90 gun, they can't do anything other than to run away slowly and slow down the tank column. While the Student Council team has Momo as the gunner who is so hot-blooded and impatient that she misses all her shot while exposing their position before they get into striking range. If they two Team simply trade tanks, the Volleyball team will be able to fight much more effectively while the Student Council Team won't be any less effective than they been all this time.
