Almost every time someone edits this page now, it doesn't show up, even though the edit appears in the history. Any ideas what the problem might be?

The page is over 500,000 characters. The system begins to act weird when pages get too large.

Maybe we could split it up? Perhaps put jossed/confirmed theories on their own page(s), like Order Of The Stick, or a prophecy page like readergurl suggested below.

Jossed and confirmed adds up to less than 10,000 characters, which'll get filled up again long before tWoW is released and some more can be transferred, so splitting off the prophecy theories as well is probably the way to go (I've just realised that that isn't what was actually suggested, but we need to split it somehow). If anyone thinks of another/a better way to split it, fire away.

I'm being really thick here, aren't I? We can just start A Song Of Ice And Fire Page 2. Maybe make the split a little way up the current page to leave some room for more replies. I'll give it a day or two and then if no-one objects I'll do it.

Normally WMG follows some sort of organisation, but this is too big and I have no patience for it. If you want to make a prophecy page, go for it. If it's still too big after that, we'll split it further.

Can anybody remember the circumstances of the first two times Dany tried putting her dragon eggs into the fire? I was wondering if the parallel the first two attempts to forge Lightbringer (using water and a lion) as the successful third attempt is in line with the legend, as she sacrifices a spouse

Prophecies
Would it be possible to create a SOIAF Prophecy page? All the different Prophecies are getting kind of confusing It would be nice to have them organized in some format, maybe a table, with the relevant text and information of:- Culture/Cult of Origin
- Prophet and Date of prophecy (if known)
- people aware of Prophecy
- Book and possibly chapter that the prophecy was introduced in. (I know that the chapters aren't numbered but something like "Sixth Danny chapter in A storm of Swords" might work, and would allow people to got back and check the prophecy in there own edition of the book)
Check out A Wiki of Ice and Fire. They've done a pretty good job at this!

RE the WMG about Cersei and being abused, I was making the point that the abuse isn't just something she tells Ned to manipulate him, it's also something she remembers to herself. Nor for that matter does she think to herself anything like "I tricked Ned by playing on his sympathies."
I'm not sure how you think something like "Robert would punch her in the stomach to make sure that she didn't have visible injuries" is something you assume she's imagining.
Not sure why it's so hard to accept that even though she's a terrible person Cersei could also be victimized.

I was rereading through a game of thrones since i got ADWD for xmas, (yes i know most of the plot and that Jon is supposedly dead.) as i was reading i found a pattern in the POV characters.
Prologue: Will dead. Bran alive Catelyn dead Daenerys alive Eddard dead Jon unconfirmed but according to this pattern alive Arya alive but trying to remove her previous self.
So i'm less than a hundred pages in so i don't have all the POVS but the pattern i think i've found that every other POV will die. can other help me with this project?
Would it be a good idea to create more pages dealing with specific topics of speculation, a la the 'Azor Ahai/Prince Who Was Promised' one? As is, the Unconfirmed pages are all very long and disorganised, which can make them tricky to read and be kind of annoying if you're looking for one theory in particular (it can also make them hard to edit if you've got slow shitty internet like mine).
Possible topics (ones that seem to come up a lot) include: Jon's parentage, other characters' parentage, (f!)Aegon, the three heads of the dragon, the Valonquar prophecy, possibly Qaithe's prophecy... any others?
