Should we make a Characters tab? I mean, Civilization gets away with it despite not having "characters" in the traditional sense. It could be broken up into the different nations and describing the tropes featured by them.

Why not, each nation has their own sterotypes, playstyles, and tropes anyways.

.... though now that I think of it, it'd have to be a main page with sub-pages because of how damn many tanks there are.

Edit: Okay, I did so. But I can't seem to get the sub-pages to index to the main cluster properly. Can someone help with that?

I would if I knew how. Anyways, I'll start adding content to the pages tomorrow.

Edit: Just turned the characters page into an index.

Alright. I'll some content to some of the tanks that I've owned. And probably list their playstyles as well.

9.5 is here guys, which means that there's information to be added. Most noticably, they've added the "Lend-Lease" (American tanks that were exported to Britain in WWII) series to the U.K. tech tree. Among them, we have the the Grant: the M3 Lee's cousin, among other lights and mediums. And we also have an new branch of British tank destroyers that are original in design.

In 8.5,the Vk3601's Konisch gun is not only not gonna be unique to the Vk3601 anymore(it's being put on the new tier 7 light tank the Aufklarerpanzer Panther) it's also getting buffed so that its ap ammo has the same damage as its gold ammo, so it most definitely doesn't really apply for the Death of a Thousand Cuts trope anymore (IIRC it now does more damage than the 75mm L70). I THINK the Konisch can stay as the Signature Cannon of the VK(since that's the tank most people think of for the gun) but can I go ahead and remove any mention of Death of a Thousand Cuts in association with it?

Conversation about fuel tanks: Not convinced. At 13 may Storm said, that damaging fuel tank don't have any negative effects, only destroying.

I can't find the part where he said that, which one is it?. At any rate, here's the one I saw:

Post M_Doyle, on Feb 06 2011 - 02:54, said: What does having your fuel tank damaged actually do? If it gets hit i hear "We'vel ost half our fuel!" But it appears to have on effect. Am I suddenly going to run outo f gas in the middle of a battle?

Damaged fuel tank increases chance of being set on fire by 50%.

  • Q: I want to know what debuff damaged fuel tank applies to tank.
  • A: No debuff, just next shot at fuel tanks is more likely to destroy them, which'll lead to flame.

So that's where it was, page before the one you sent me to.

Searched the US and EU forums and wiki, they say fuel tank damage increases the chance of catching on fire by 50%, just like the dev answer, but no one on the forums seems to know for sure.

I'll ask around there.

Well, that is only trustworthy answer I was able to find, however similar was mentioned in several other places. About wrong page - seems to be forum glitch.

Well, apparently we were both right, in a way. Strictly speaking, it has no ill effects when damaged, but it is more likely to be destroyed. Bit late, but the mods and devs have their schedule.
