Does Reyna qualify as an example of Super Supremacist?

She definitely holds the opinion that Radiants (the "supers" of VALORANT) are decisively better than non-Radiants, even to the point of "radical and borderline-extremist opinions" on her status as a Radiant. This escalates to a maximum when she becomes one of the primary leaders for the Radiant side during the Radiant War.

On the other hand, in the game itself, she never reaches a truly villainous standing, and ultimately holds a neutral standing towards non-Radiants, which may be enough to count her out of the position.

Removed the following from The Captain trope:

KAY/O was explicitly designed to be this for veteran Counter-Strike players: his flashbang and frag/ment abilities are carbon copies of the Flashbang and HE grenades, down to the momentum-based tossing, with frag/ment exploding multiple times to better balance it. His signature ability, ZERO/POINT, is a thrown knife that simply disables enemy abilities in radius (while also identifying any Agents it disables), and his ultimate simply gives him a combat stim, disables enemy abilities in consecutive bursts around him, and allows teammates to revive him if he gets killed while in this state.

I don't feel this meets the description of The Captain at all. I like the description of the character a lot, and the description of how he plays so familiarly to CSGO players, but ultimately, he's not an example of The Captain, and I'm unsure what other trope could hold this description.

Discussing the Vandal versus the Phantom for the Difficult, But Awesome Trope, at first glance many new players assume that the Vandal is the more difficult, but overall better weapon. However if you look closer at how rounds play out that's not true.

To skilled players, the biggest advantage of the Vandal, the one-shot head shot at any range, is essentially a non-issue.

This is because of the aimpunch mechanics in Valorant. Being shot in the head shakes your screen and makes it very difficult to land a shot, and high tagging (movement speed reduction after being damage) makes it hard to retreat back to cover. That's irrelevant to the Vandal due to it killing any opponent in one shot to the head, but to the Phantom it means that if you do headshot someone at greater than 15 meters, getting a follow-up shot is very safe and almost guaranteed as it's both highly unlikely that someone can headshot you while being aimpunched and they can't retreat back to cover because of the high tagging.

This means if two players are dueling with assault rifles and one player is using the Phantom and the other the Vandal, even if both are at long ranges, the first to get a headshot will probably win no matter what, regardless of the Vandal's higher damage.

Now, as for the Phantom's pros: - Higher magazine capacity can be easily understood. - Lower recoil as well. - Higher ROF as well. - It is also silenced and has invisible tracers. This means that spraying through smoke doesn't give away your location, and missing a shot on someone(s) while on the flank makes it less likely that you'll be turned on in response.

This is why most higher-skilled players favor the Phantom over the Vandal. Though it is almost personal preference, much like the AK-47 vs M 4 A 1-S in CSGO.

However for newer players it's less guaranteed that they'll be able to follow up a headshot with the Phantom every time because of poorer aim and poorer recoil control. Their chances of dinking an enemy with the phantom at long ranges and the enemy getting away is much higher, so they can appreciate the higher damage of the Vandal much more.
