Primal Rage characters are each references to original Mortal Kombat characters.
The seven PR characters each correspond to an original Mortal Kombat playable character:
Blizzard: Sub-Zero (ice-based attacks) Armadon: Raiden (electricity-based attacks) Diablo: Scorpion (fire-based attacks) Chaos: Kano (cannonball move) Talon: Liu Kang (flying kick move) Sauron: Johnny Cage (shadow attacks) Vertigo: Sonya (female, ring-based attacks)
