Is it acceptable to talk about Mods for the game here, such as the Old Realms, or would that require a different page? There's some things I might want to discuss.

Mods get their sub-sections if they are popular, usually by the end of the list of tropes related to the game. And if they are really big, they get their separate pages. Sprinkling them in regular list of tropes is usually frowned upon.

Keep in mind that none of this is any sort of official policy, but rather customary behaviour.

Just making sure. Wouldn't want to step on too many toes. The Old Realms Mod looks really cool, and it's not even done! Currently, it's basically Vampire Counts (and their skeleton and human forces) versus Empire of Man forces versus those pain-in-the-rear Chaos Forces versus pesky brigand types.

Personally, I'd like to see a Friendly Neighborhood Vampire Count playthrough, where a vampire lord goes around, saving villagers, caravans, and so on.

One thing that would be useful to add to the Main Game is these Experience Books - costs about 10K but by reading each book, the relevant skill will easily get to level 100, with some books providing experience to multiple skills. A useful way to boost an otherwise tricky-to-level-up skill like Leadership or Engineering.
