* Broken Aesop: The game tries to sell you on the idea that Capitalism Is Bad, and presents an alternative to earning money in the form of the Hypha Commune, where everyone works together for the good of the group. Once you're in, you're set for life; work a shift and you'll get fed, and you can use the rest of your time however you like. Except that, first, it takes a lot of money to get to the Commune in the first place, you have to support yourself while you're working your way in, and if you can pull all of that off, a shift at the Commune isn't a good use of your time; you'd be better off using that die to work a job and buy food. Even earlier, when the Commune need some equipment repaired, they don't have the money or the expertise to do so, and end up conning a repair bay into doing it without mentioning that they'll be paying in mushrooms.
Qualia, your argument for removing this is that it's factually incorrect. But...
Yes, when you have an active clock you shouldn't be chasing cryo, but that doesn't have any relationship to my point.
It's still more efficient to make money and buy food than to work the commune and earn food. Even if you can synthesize stabilizers at the commune, that's still not an argument for working shifts there once you've joined. (Also, I'm pretty sure that it's actually more efficient and reliable to not complete the Yatagan storyline, earn money and buy stabilizer than to farm for it, due to the RNG inherent in getting clubheads.)
It's still shown that the Commune can't differentiate its ass from its elbow when they need to get resources from the outside, hence having to con the repair bay and pay in mushrooms.
So the Aesop is still broken, and I'm pretty sure none of the facts in my entry were incorrect.
Okay, so.
