- There's something be said about Doctor Who when you consider that it's main villians are little robotic trashcans who can't climb stairs, use a plunger as their main weapons, and TALK. LIKE. THIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSS! and they're 100% serious about it.
I'll assume this refers to them in their 1963-88 incarnation, and not the newer models, the ones I'm more familiar with.
I know, YMMV, but is this really seen as "awful transcending into good again"? Not everyone finds the Daleks frightening, I do realise, but even at best they're Narm Charm, not this trope.
Not to mention that they have GUNS as primary weapons, and they're pretty much the size of humans as far as I can tell.
