I'm slowly grinding through the 150+ episodes of Lupin III (Red Jacket) and noticed something in episode 25: The Iron Lizard drones used to track down escaped prisoners. They looks a bit like the Metal Slug weapon, too. Anyone else think it's a deliberate shout-out?

The shout-outs page here states that the bad guys from Metal Slug 5 are modeled after the Brotherhood of Nod, but do we have anything actually confirming this?
