Having watched this, I've gained a further understanding of why the Americans decided to drop the atom bomb.

No, you haven't. If you thought it had anything to do with hatred you haven't done enough research.

Perhaps Silent Hunter was referring to the horrible conditions the Marines went through, and how the leadership wanted to avoid having to lose more men in an invasion.

Hello, I really dont mean to pick on anyone or be rude but people really need to stop being vague. For example under High Octane Nightmare Fuel someone will just put this:

"Blank is the definition of this." (Note I understand you need to keep it short, sweet and not spoil anything but please be more specific on why!)

It should be like this: "Okinawa is the definition of this, constant rain to the point the ground got so muddy the bodies began to sink underneath so all you could see was a skeletol hand with maggots eatting it. Okinawa had the highest casualties of the Pacific war on both sides. The Okinawian civilians that inhabited the island not only caught in the crossfire but they were used as human shields by the desperate Japanese."

Like I said I really dont mean to be rude or offend anyone who has contributed but I'm just saying we can make this page better if we elaborate. I think I'm going to use my example heh...think its pretty good. Also sorry if my spelling and grammar suck...I'm very tired. Anyway thank you for your time fellow tropers!
