You know, looking at the trope page in more detail even IF Akane's rock throwing could be taken as a meltdown it really doesn't apply to the trope in general, being more about a put upon Straight Man doing some minor lashing out and hurting someone's feelings over it.

This is not that trope. Even ignorant the blatant Akane bashing falsehood of "Nothing short of complete and utter praise will please Akane especially when it comes to her cooking."
Throwing a rock at someone is Ranma 1/2 is not a "meltdown" it's a minor expression of annoyance. Minor bit of slapstick that doesn't matter in the slightest.
