Who wants to start adding Nightmare Fuel for the animated shorts? The anime shorts, Vindicators 2, & most recently, Summer's Sleepover. These shorts deserve their own entry.

Season 3 The Rickchurian Mortydate

I think it should be added that another reason the tyke bombs are terrifying is when they are turned into agents of destruction they scream like they are in agony.

Imagine the worst pain you can recall having, or a pain that caused you so much suffering you'd go insanely violent from how horrible it is. Your mind is so out of control with pain you can't consider you're hurting others. Or perhaps the kids are programmed with a voice saying the only way to make the pain stop is to kill.

But wait, there's more! Adults have coping mechanisms for pain based on experience knowing eventually it will pass, kids don't have this. Like a 4 year old terrified thinking a Flu will last forever. Now you have someone weaponizing this absolute terror, with kids who have no idea what the hell is going on. Like kids who get painful seizures. That's something close to what I imagine these kids are being forced to suffer. They don't know when it will happen, how to make it stop.

My point is it's terrifying on a whole bunch of levels, and perhaps that should be discussed more in the trope. Cause I've seen child possession movies, The Exorcist. The way these kids screamed was the most terrifying sound I've heard. I guess what one would imagine someone being mind raped and convinced they were set on fire while being showered with hydrochloric acid. It confuses your mind like what the hell are these kids going through? At least if I knew you know. A lot like medical mystery shows about parents trying to understand why their kid keeps screaming.

It's really brilliant from the perspective that it creates such a sense of holy s*it many horror film directors wish they could create.
