One thing that i think is missing here is the lasting trauma that this events would have left in Veronica. She murdered a friend, even if not intentionally, participated in the murder of two other people, all the while in an unhealthy relationship with the one responsible for those murder to only then shoot him then watch him explode. In the case that she looked up for profissional help, she couldn't tell then everything because even under medical confidentiality, the professional would have to report a murder confession, so she wouldn't be able to truly help her. Same goes to Heather Mcnamara and maybe even Martha.
