i'm a 18 year old male and i can do this comfortably without any training.
Also male, 24. Didn't even realize that it was anything tough, but I guess I'd never really tried it. It's not too tough, and it's a little uncomfortable but not anything too bad. Actually feels like good pain; I wonder if it could be used as a stretching exercise.
Q: What Pokémon is good at treating colds? A: Cyn-Day-Quil®It’s used in yoga for heron pose and reclined hero pose actually. In physical therapy, it is referred to as w-sitting but discouraged since it can cause hip damage.
Wariza Sitting sister trope needed for those adopting this posture intentionally rather than collapsing/falling into it.
Seiza Sitting is when you sit in heels. Also worth a page.

Twisted Knee Standing would also work. Internal hip rotation is done for modesty and femininity even while remaining on feet with knees and buttox not touching ground.
This may all fall under Abnormal Limb Rotation Range too.
Onna no ko Suwari (女の子座り) or Girl Sitting is mentioned on a reddit thread about this by lostblueskkes.
Another redditor fairinsomethings: "I know it more often as ぺたん座り. Wikipedia and other sites use the word 割座 (wariza), although it can also be called ぺたんこ座り and アヒル座り (duck sitting) among other things. ぺたん is the Japanese onomatopoeia of the sound made when something makes firm contact with a flat surface (in this case it's a girl's butt and thighs touching the floor)."
LBS again: "Personally, people around me have always called it Onna no ko Suwari (or Zuwari). アヒル座り (Duck Sitting) and ぺたんこ座り/ ぺたん座り (Flat Sitting) are said quite common enough. I guess it's more politically correct to say that now."
Onna No Ko Suwari or Onna No Ko Zuwari or Duck Sitting or Flat Sitting could all be aliases to Wari Za
https://www.drweil.com/health-wellness/balanced-living/exercise-fitness/hero-pose/ also shows that Hero Pose (Vir Asana) refers to the same thing.
Not sire what alias to use for Sei Za. Maybe Sit On Heels?

First, the "Twisted Knee" posture is not as uncommon as the author thinks. Some western women can sit comfortably in this posture, and it is much more common among Japanese women. I have never seen a man sit in this position. Probably very few can do so without hurting themselves.
Falling into this position actually appeals to a Japanese sexual fetish. It is seen as uniquely feminine, making a girl appear cute and vulnerable.
An example of this appears in the live action version of "Nana". One of the characters named Nana (there are two) falls into this position, when her love interest is pulling her forward in a hotel hallway.
They had to recruit an actress who could actually drop into this position and make it seem like a natural thing to do. She is supposed to look cute and vulnerable in the scene, and she manages to pull it off.
