Is there a version of this for the shots that linger on a side character who turns out to be The Killer (or other criminal) in a mystery? When that person would basically be an extra in the scene if not for the extra camera attention (and maybe they get like one line)?
It's basically the exact same concept except A) not really intended to tip the audience off, 2) the character doesn't behave unnaturally, ONLY the camera does, and d) different kind of bad guy.
Looks like the page quote got eaten by link rot - the source now redirects to a suspicious-as-hell website, and not even the same one each time.
