I know at least 1 Professional Wrestling example. When Kane was forced to work for Vince's Corporation because of the threat of being institutionalized. In December of 98 into early 99.

I removed these examples:
* In Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, Carrot Ironfoundersson is a perfect example of the trope. He expects people to be good, and somehow they can't help but live up to his expectations.
* M* A* S* H: Father Mulcahy.
Because the other members of the Ankh-Morpork Watch are already good. Carrot may be unusually idealistic, but he is not the token good man. Likewise, Father Mulcahy may be somewhat more idealistic than some of the others, but they are all generally good.
