That is an excellent question. The Diagetic Soundtrack Usage article mentions Source Music as a subtrope "performed for the first time." Not sure what that distinction means. The examples here all seem to be Diagetic Soundtrack Usage to me.

Why is the article Source Music and not Diagetic Music? If the idea already has an actual name and Source music isn't, as a name, more inherently understandable, why not just use the actual name?
