Sorry about the edit I made earlier in this page. It was an accident. I meant to go to Somewhere, a Mammalogist Is Crying.

How in the nine blue hells is this a Subjective Trope?!?!?

I ju... I wh... But if... No. No, look. If the writers obviously do not understand how birds of a certain species even work, then they do not understand how birds of a certain species even work. There is nothing even remotely subjective about this. Is getting the dates wrong in a history test subjective? Hell no, and neither are zoological errors. What the f***, TV Tropes? Just, what the f***?

It's not subjective, it's just not used because it was felt too close to complaining to use - any errors in a work are best put as Artistic License than anything else.

What's with all the stuff about chickens? Hardly any of the actual examples show other birds being mistaken for chickens.

Penguins are practically chickens, and I hate to see chickens cry so much that I have to put them out of their misery!

(Ignoring the WTF-ness about the penguins.) There was talk of turning the chicken aspects into a separate trope, and I'm sure if I did that tomorrow nobody would notice or even give a crap. But that's missing a bigger issue...
