The only thin that tells us this is supposed to be an example of this trope is the fact that the caption says it is Minas Tirith, and it still implies that this trope is when evil overtakes a pristine location, which isn't what this trope is at all. I would suggest a picture of Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz, Metropolis from Superman, or Star Trek's version of San Francisco.
