Suggested example:

In Gems of War, dwarf knight Lady Ironbeard's attack is explicitly called Shield Bash. If her target's armor is less than hers, her attack damage is increased times 3 (and she gains 5 armor).

Further explanation: My Lady Ironbeard currently deals an attack of 31. When her armor is greater than her target's, that means 93 damage -although with the way the programming handles decimals, sometimes it's 92.

Darn, there's a trope for this?

Wow. I plan on using this trope for whenever a character with a shield has an opponent taunt them for not having an offensive weapon.

Suggested example - Tyrion used this in the Game of Thrones tv series, when he was being taken as a prisoner to the eyrie, don't remember which episode.
