The Vasa dynasty (under Real Life):
The text exaggerates and sensationalizes the attributes of most of the Vasa rulers. If some of them were zealots or paranoid, or obsessed with worthless political goals, that doesn't really make them worse or better than typical rulers of the time. Erik *was* mentally ill (but competent), and Magnus was mentally ill and incompetent. Only the former was made king, and he was deposed when his competence declined.
I considered editing the example, but I feel that the best thing to do is to take it all out as Not An Example.
