To my understanding, The Great Repair normally involves repairing a vehicle to escape some situation. Resurrect the Wreck generally involves bringing an abandoned vehicle back from the dead, but not necessarily to escape a situation.

I'm surprised you didn't include the 1965 movie "The Flight of the Phoenix" in this trope. In the film an aircraft crashes into the Sahara desert, leaving a group of men stranded. But they make a new airplane out of the bits of the old one and fly to safety. It was the first thing I thought of.
