For the page quote, I think the full version from the book is much more poignant than the abridged version currently being used. I suggest swapping it in:

'Frodo, Mr. Frodo!' he called 'Don't leave me here alone! It's your Sam calling. Don't go where I can't follow. Wake up, Mr. Frodo! O wake up Frodo, me dear, me dear. Wake up!'

'Crisis or no, nothing should interfere with tea!'

Pulled

  • Inadvertently subverted in Bones. Booth is shot in the chest at the end of "The Wannabe in the Weeds", and Bones kneels next to him, begging him to live. The next episode opens with his funeral where Booth appears and attacks the Bad Guy. Bones punches him in the face.
...because it doesn't appear to have anything to do with the trope at all. (If you're "begging someone to live", then you know they're dying.) There's a few examples I'm not sure about, but that one seemed to be the most blatant.

If Bones did say something like "You're not dying", then maybe put it back. (Although, even then, how is it an "inadvertant subversion"? What is an inadvertant subversion?)
