9 1/2 years late, this makes sense to me. I thought to come here and raise the point myself after seeing the entry on Gerard Butler point out what a wide variety of roles he's played.
Always expect the worst and you can only be pleasantly surprised.
We have a lot of actors/actresses who have avoided BEING typecast listed as 'Playing Against Type'. What do we do about that? Start hacking people out of the page for having varied careers?
