That's why we keep NPC but as with all the other plural initialisms, the plural is nearly always accidental. All we're getting are accidents messing up the word's spelling. Cut it, some people fix them. Somebody ends up redirecting and you notice it has gone done. Rinse and repeat.
Can we custom-title it, redirect it to Non-Player Character, and THEN lock it? That way its link is blue and spaceless.
