Has there been any discussion on cutting this trope? As submitted it looks like a unilateral decision and will thus be declined.

People are discussing it on the forum, and I agree with their reasoning that this trope is just Movie Superheroes Wear Black.

Stumbled across this page, originally thought it was a cute blue link variant of Movie Superheroes Wear Black. I don't see much value here beyond what is already covered by that trope, and generally comes across as nitpicky (it's very nature is listing changes in specific shades) rather than clearer and more distinct changes a la Adaptation Dye-Job.

The fact it was first proposed just a few days ago and had some conflicting arguments in the discussion is not a good sign. The picture is also bad, comparing two movie superhero costumes rather than one comic book image and one movie image.

As I said in the forum. "that's to illustrate the trope in action compared to the days before the trope. And a pot-shot at the DC Extended Universe movies, but this is admittedly a common fan complaint.

If it stays, the value judgements against it as the article is currently written have to go since it isn't a YMMV page."

In Wikipedia they would call this a POV fork.
