Why "Minion"? This trope doesn't have anything to do with who is or is not subordinate, and relatively few examples are being done to villainous hench-types.
Why "Maracas"? Yes, they're something that are shaken, but they're shaken in pairs and the page image is one of the only examples where that's done.
The page quote, while witty, doesn't actually demonstrate the trope with its related image.
