Hey do we have a trope for which a character has a different job in a adaptation than what he or she had in the original media? I noticed it with The Flash. In the comics, Barry Allen is a forensic scientist. In Young Justice and Justice League Doom, he is a crime scene investigator (and yes there is a difference0. In the comics, Patty Spivot is a blood analyst. In the 2014 live action show, she is a police officer.

I'm looking for the Trope for what I'm calling my head Scrambled Adaptation. Where everything in the Adaptation arguably has a basis in the original, but it's all moved around or altered or adjusted to the point where the finished product almost seems In Name Only. it can be a Bi-Product of Adaptation Distillation and/or Compressed Adaptation, but there is more to it then that.

Solomon and Sheba is an example. Everything is essentially a Biblical reference (Except Sheba being Pregnant which comes form Ethiopian beliefs), but it ties allot of things that did NOT happen during Solmon's reign. Adonijah's rivalry is made to span the entire Reign, Solomon fought no Wars, that is actually an important about him. And So on.

But also Black Magic staring Orson wells, the way it mixes up everything form the Alexandre Dumas novels Joseph Balsamo and The Queen's Necklace.
