it feels like the same situation as Mc Coy. People make a mistake, somebody, rather than correcting it turns it into a redirect. People don't want it to be a link, people don't want the format messed up but somebody has to go through and fix things.
It used to be the main name for a trope, but it was non-descriptive and was usually created when referring to Scrooge McDuck. So someone (not me!) converted it to a redirect to Rosa-Barks Duckverse.
Redirects Are Free, but I am uncomfortable with this one. Odds are, there are still a lot of mistaken links.

Didn't this used to be the main name for Mr. Vice Guy? The archived discussion seems to suggest so. If that's the case, this might be justifiably cut if the inbound links are still confusing this redirect with that trope.
Edit: Ok, it renamed from McDuck
, but from randomly clicking a dozen inbound links, not a one is using Mc Duck as Mr. Vice Guy. So make of that what you will.
