I had put in the description of the trope how sativa strains can give you an exhilarating "head high" while indica strains can give you a relaxing "body high", and hybrids can give you the best of both, but that got removed.

Synthetic marijuana got me in a lot of trouble for this reason. I had a really horrible experience on it. That's why K-2 is now illegal in Michigan (not me specifically, but I'm an example that proves the necessity of it).

The south park example is wrong. When he smokes weed, he gets the normal, realistic effects. It isn't until later, when he tries literal LSD, that he has the whole "head as a balloon" thing.

Could someone explained why they deleted the example from Breaking Bad where Jesse hallucinates two door-to-door Christians on bikes as machete wielding, grenade-packing lunatics on motorcycles after smoking meth? I mean, given that methamphetamine is not a hallucinogen, it seems like a pretty solid example.

I'm not the person who deleted the entry, but I agree with you. Just an FYI to other tropers, although meth is primarily a stimulant, it is known for causing hallucinations in even moderate doses.

"Chris then gives a rant at the end about how Marijuana contains THC. It does, in fact, contain the substance, but not enough to cause LSD-like effects. "

Huh? Of course it contains THC, that's the whole point about it, isn't it? I'm genuinely confused as to what that's supposed to say...

Whoever wrote that seems to think

a.) there's something else which contains larger amounts of THC b.) large enought amounts of THC would produce LSD-like effects

Both are flat dead wrong. While it is possible to synthesize THC, hemp/cannabis is the only natural occuring thing which produces it. Also, a sufficiently large dosage might put the subject to sleep, but not produce LSD-like effects... (at least for the aforementioned 99% of the population, i.e. on people with a weird enough brain chemistry it might have such effects).

So this is either a troll/propaganda comment or I'm somehow Completely Missing The Point...

I would hate to think that the Shown Their Work pothole in that is somehow serious.
